Requirements to become a Driving Instructor

First you will need to make sure you fit the criteria set by the Driving Standards Agency (DSA)

Driving Instructor

You must have held a full UK or EU licence for 4 out of the last 6 years

Driving Instructor

You have to be able to read a normal size number plate from 27.5 metres (90 ft)

Driving Instructor

You must have less than 6 penalty points on your driving licence

Driving Instructor

You must not have been disqualified from driving at any time in the last 4 years

Driving Instructor

You need to be a fit and proper person in the opinion of the DSA, from spring 2007 you will need to have an enhanced level Criminal Record Bureau (CRB) check
